The Darkness Inside
There is a burning fire deep down Flaming inside my heart It makes it hard to hide the rage That’s tearing me apart No sorrows sleep within my soul My tears threaten to fall Just poisoned venom hastening The urge to crush them all My inner demons screaming out For justice to set free
The screaming rage I can’t forget The chains that shackle me If I let go the world will burn Within my living fire Unleashed revenge upon the souls That churn my cruel desire If I must never let it loose The Devil is to blame My torment will turn roses black To share my inner shame
I wish the world could understand The secrets I contain The whispered words that haunt my dreams And cause this endless pain Love is the key to open up The horrors that I hide If someone cared for me they’d see The deep darkness inside.
