THE CRYING BOY

This painting is the famous cursed artwork known as The Crying Boy. Everywhere a copy of this painting it hung, mysterious fires erupt, burning people or buildings. But in every case, the one undamaged item is The Crying Boy...

Its origins began with its Spanish painter Bruno Amadio, also known as Bragolin. He had painted a series of paintings, all depicting crying children. They have been mass produced, but every single painting is cursed in the exact same way. It is said that the orphan he used as a model for this particular painting was killed in a car crash, and that his spirit haunts all images of him. Also, Bruno's studio BURNT TO THE GROUND...

DO NOT under any circumstances purchase any variation of The Crying Boy. If you already have one in the house, the curse may be countered (alledgedly) by hanging a Crying Girl picture beside it. Or you may destroy it- but do so at your own risk. Other reports about the painting say that the painting attracts bad luck and poltergeist activity as well as fire! Now that's what I call a curse.

Now a frightening fact is that ANY IMAGE AT ALL, painting or otherwise, of The Crying Boy is cursed. Yes, you guessed it- that also applies to this glog. If you suffer any trouble with your computer, or suffer unusual ill luck such as fires or injury, think back to this glog. They say that even looking upon his face attracts the curse, so beware...

On 4 September 1985 'The Sun' ran a story reporting that all versions of The Crying Boy were jinxed, and eventually they had mass bonfires to destroy copies of the painting readers had sent in. To find out more, click here and follow the link.
